Centre for Lifestyle Intervention – Contributing to Agenda 2030 Global Goals

We are an integrated part of the joint work at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and the University of Gothenburg to realize Agenda 2030, the UN's global action plan for sustainable development.

The Centre for Lifestyle Intervention works to support several of the global goals, with particular focus on Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. We develop and apply evidence-based, individually tailored interventions aimed at counteracting lifestyle-related ill health and reducing the disease burden in the population.

Furthermore, we integrate health promotion and education into our projects, which aligns with Goal 4: Quality Education.

Work with lifestyle habits is particularly important for reducing inequalities in health, in accordance with Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities. Additionally, our efforts contribute to Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and Goal 13: Climate Action indirectly by promoting healthy and sustainable lifestyle habits.

By reducing disease prevalence and thereby the need for resource-intensive care, our operations can also be linked to Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.
