Sustainability and environment
Society and economy

Energy Island Bornholm is new next-generation offshore wind farm that will be build outside the Danish island of Bornholm in the coming years. It is a true monster project, becoming the largest offshore wind farm in Europe when complete. The island will provide electricity on a large scale and is also an important puzzle piece in Europe’s plan on green energy transformation and energy independency. However, it also comes with many challenges, the biggest of which is the effect it will have on the rural idyllic island of Bornholm. This presentation will give you a small glimpse into the process, the opportunities and challenges associated with Energy Island Bornholm.
