About Teresa Peil
I am a PhD student in the Marine Microbial Ecology Group. My project aims to address how microbes combat and contribute to climate change. Since nutrients, along with temperature, are major environmental drivers that are predicted to change in highly productive coastal environments, my goal is to improve our understanding of how microbial communities contribute to the turnover of dissolved organic matter in the oceans and how this process is affected by nutrient and trace metal stoichiometry.
