Bakgrund: Bertil Rolandsson är Professor i Sociologi och anställd vid Institutionen för Sociologi och Arbetsvetenskap, Göteborgs universitet.
Forskningsområden: Han har en expertis som omfattar organisatoriska reformer och digitaliseringens betydelse för våra arbetsliv. Hans forskning handlar ofta om hur olika institutionaliserade värden blir till organiserande principer samt hur styrnings-, legitimitets eller förtroendeproblem uppstår och hanteras i samband med olika digitaliseringsinitiativ. Han har också bedrivit forskning om hur specifika yrkesgrupper såsom polis, läkare och översättare hanterar olika organisationsförändringar. Han deltar och har deltagit i forskningsprojekt som avhandlar olika former av digitalisering och dess konsekvenser för arbetslivet i allmänhet och yrkesgrupper i synnerhet. Det är studier som spänner från bland annat mjukvaruindustri och mediabranschen till nya former av digital övervakning och AI inom vården.
Undervisning och handledning: Han undervisar inom kurser som på olika vis berör områden såsom arbetsmarknad, vetenskaplig metod samt organisering och styrning i arbetslivet.
