Since autumn 2004 the Department of Law offers a modernized, national LL.M. programme with “more reality”. The LL.M. programme is 4,5 years long and leads to a Master of Law exam (Sw. jur. kand). The design and direction of LL.M programmes differ from one Swedish university to another.

The Department of Law also offers a selection of other programme courses for students from other departments at the School of Business, Economics and Law and the University of Gothenburg.

Beside this, the Department gives a number of separate courses. The Department of Law cooperates with a number of international universities and could therefore offer students of the national LL.M programme the opportunity to study abroad, as well as invite international students to study in Gothenburg.
