Location

"By simulating decomposing systems of wind, water and movement, objects and materials are mixed that wear and break down. Tumbling Worlds is an investigation based on human impact on the earth's changing environments and landscapes. Through material-centred speculation, Tumbling Worlds examines our relationship to wear and tear, the loss of ascribed function, recognizable materiality, and the entanglement between the afterlife of consumer cultures and environmental processes."

The result of the project is a collection of physical and digital materials formed into virtual environments to invite viewers into a liminal place where memories, thoughts and associations about change interact. The project is part of Tingvall's Degree Project at the Master's program in fine arts at HDK-Valand, Gothenburg University. The exhibition at Ada-form Center Väst shows a selection from the process.
