Om Vijay Kumar Nallani

Vijay has 10+ years’ research experience in protein biochemistry, molecular biology and microbiology and has been working on related academic and industrial projects in life sciences. He has well demonstrated experience in redesigning and developing time- and cost- effective protein purification methods for 15+ proteins or their variants and establishing 10+ biochemical assays in vitro and/ or in vivo to study protein interactions. Vijay has collaborated and helped 5+ multinational cross-functional teams and worked on industry (R&D) projects earlier apart from academic projects in protein science. He has good expertise in successfully delivering required purified proteins, technology/services to diverse protein research teams and companies. He worked earlier as an R&D Project Manager (on a protein production and up-scaling project) in a global biotech company Aquaporin, Denmark.

Vijay currently works on various client specific projects at the Mammalian Protein Expression (MPE) core facility that offers production of recombinant proteins for research purposes. The facility uses mammalian cells to produce complex proteins with post-translational modifications and also helps teams to culture cell lines in different formats and in culturing hybridoma cells for the production of monoclonal antibodies.
