Om Eyassu Gayim

Juris Doctor (Uppsala Universitet), Juris Licentiat (Oslo universitet), Bachelor of Law (Haile Selassie I University, Etiopien) och diplom i mänskliga rättigheter (International Institute of Human Rights, Strasbourg, Frankrike). Utsedd till docent av Lapplands universitet (Finland) 2005 (internationell minoritetsrätt), och av Helsingfors universitet 2008 (internationella mänskliga rättigheter). Innan Eyassu anställdes vid Institutionen för globala studier arbetade han vid San Diego State University (SDSU) i USA. Innan dess var han forskare vid Erik Castrén-institutet för folkrätt och mänskliga rättigheter, (Helsingfors Universitet). Under 1990-talet var Eyassu verksam vid en rad finska universitet, som forskare eller lektor, och bedrev postdoktorala studier som gästforskare vid University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA School of Law, Department of Political Science och American Indian Studies Center), the University of California San Diego, (UCSD, Department of Social Science), University of San Diego, (USD, School of Law) och California Western School of Law (CWSL, San Diego).
