Anne Algers är docent i pedagogik och arbetar på Institutionen för Pedagogik, Kommunikation och Lärande (IPKL) och PIL.
Anne har sedan 1994 arbetat med högskolepedagogik och IT-baserat lärande inom det högskolepedagogiska fältet, som universitetslärare, utbildningsledare, programstudierektor, pedagogisk sakkunnig och pedagogisk konsult.
Anne kommer från Institutionen för Livsmedelsvetenskap vid Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet, där hon bl.a. har arbetat med problembaserat lärande (PBL), verksamhetsförlagd utbildning (VFU), IT-baserad lärande och öppna lärresurser (OER) inom ämnena livsmedel och djurvälfärd.
Hon disputerade 2015 vid institutionen för tillämpad IT vid Göteborgs Universitet med en avhandling, som behandlade öppet lärande inom högre utbildning. Hennes forskning handlar om att organisera den högre utbildningen och i synnerhet hur den högre utbildningen som en kunskapsorganisation kan agera för en hållbar utveckling inom områdena livsmedelsproduktionen och djurvälfärd, både på lokal och global nivå.
Kunskapsintresset är att skapa en delningskultur bland lärare, studenter och samhälle inom högre utbildning.
Anne är, tillsammans med Matthias Kaiser vid Bergens Universitet, redaktör för en ny vetenskaplig tidskrift med titeln Food Ethics (Springer förlag). Anne tillhör forskningsmiljön Göteborgsgruppen.
