Om Anna Jia Gander

Anna Jia Gander has education background in Pedagogy, Linguistics, and Communication mainly from Uppsala University and the University of Gothenburg. In 2018 June, she got her doctor degree in Communication at the University of Gothenburg. Her doctoral thesis focused on perception, sense-making and understanding in face-to-face and technology mediated informal intercultural communication and educational collaborative learning. Currently Anna is a post-doctoral researcher at the Division of Learning, Communication, and IT of the Department of Applied Information Technology. Her research project is in collaboration with the Center for Hybrid Intelligence and Aarhus University in Denmark. Their project is researching hybrid intelligent systems to make the optimal use of human creativity in computational games in the domain of citizen science. Her research interests are language, communication and technology in general; specifically, human-computer interaction, human computation, hybrid and collective intelligence, game-based learning, and multimodal communication and technology.
