I am a Ph.D. Candidate at the Department of Political Science since the fall semester of 2019. I hold a Master of Arts in Political Science from Sabanci University.
My main research interests include democratization processes, the influence of foreign aid from democratic and autocratic actors, civic education, European politics, and causal inference. Previously, I have conducted fieldwork in the countries of the Western Balkans on EU integration with regard to democracy assistance and democratization processes.I am also affiliated with the Varieties of Democracy Institute (V-Dem) at Gothenburg University.
I supervise bachelor's and master's level students who work on topics related to foreign aid, democracy, EU. I am also one of the lecturers for the master-level courses on International Administration and Policy and Varieties of Democracy and Democratization.
