Free Cost Cares/GPCC training school on how to enable person-centred care and health promotion - Apply now!
The Cost Action 15222 COST CARES and The University of Gothenburg Centre for Person-centred Care – GPCC are organising a training school together on the topic of how to enable efficient person-centred care and health promotion. It will take place 15-17 October 2018, in Gothenburg Sweden. The training school is free of charge and anyone can apply. A limited number of grants for travel and accommodation are available.
Cost Cares is an EU COST project co-ordinating 26 EU countries. It is chaired by Inger Ekman, Centre Director of GPCC. COST is the longest-running European framework supporting trans-national cooperation among researchers, engineers and scholars across Europe. Read more about the Cost Cares project here.
Person-centred care and health promotion are the two main themes identified by Cost Cares to drive affordable high quality health care in the future. Several “enablers” are identified that will facilitate person-centred care and health promotion (see article in The Lancet).
The current training school will be held over three days and will include both theoretical and practical components from national and international trainers. The training school will include lectures and a series of workshops where the following themes will be addressed:
• Uses and application of person-centred care in clinical practice and research.
• Health promotion in registries and clinical practice.
• The complexity of implementing person-centred care and health promotion.
The training school will also be an opportunity to interact with the Management Committee and the Working Groups of Cost Cares.
If you are interested in participating please save the dates in your calendar and indicate your interest of participating by completing this on-line form.
We very much look forward to hosting the Training School in October!
