In order to promote the restoration of the organ in the Jacobi Church in Hamburg, Hans Henny Jahnn called a conference in 1925. The conference program featured concerts with early music and lectures. Two days were spent in Hamburg, one in Lübeck, where the early instruments in the Jacobi Church, the ‘Totentanz’ organ in St. Mary’s, and the organ by Hans Scherer Jr. in the Aegidien Church were visited. The Hamburg-Lübeck conference was the first of a series of organ conferences in Germany that drew attention to organ building from the German Baroque period and energized the German organ reform, the ‘Orgelbewegung’. As it was Schnitger, his work, and specifically the North German Baroque organ that became the main focus of the ‘Orgelbewegung’, the importance of the Hamburg-Lübeck conference can hardly be overestimated. The list of par- ticipants who attended the Hamburg-Lübeck conference – in fact we are dealing with two lists – is preserved in the estate of Hans Henny Jahnn and is presented in the article. The author has transcribed the lists, evaluated them and offers a synthesis of the two lists in alphabetical order.
