Sammanfattning

Culture can be used in educational work as an empowerment of the content in learning. Children's right to take part in culture is proclaimed in the Convention of the Rights of the Children. How can we work with inclusive strategies through culture in education? What part can Art Educaton have in this? How can we support and critically analyze the democratical aspirations of the educational system and still develop inclusion, creativity and learning in a continual development of the pedagogical practice? The use of many communicative forms can be seen upon as a widened context of knowledge and language. The creation of relationships (children, adults, environment, society) is important in communicating openness, tolerande and inclusion. Through asking open questions, giving support and encouraging the child to experiment with different kinds of solutions to problems the adult is able to be co-constructor of the child's experiences, emotions and thoughts. Art work can create a symbolic function as a basis for and mediator of learning that is generated in play, creative, artistic activities and self-motivated learning. In the aesthetical learning process can develop an in-deep understanding that creates meningfulness in learning. This, if the pedagogues can create an environment and motivational learning situation, in contact with the interest and questions of the child. Pictures and visual objects are transitional objects that can be used in the pedagogical work or as means in the learning strategies. Different ways of looking can be used as knowledge that the child grow in the art work.
