10:00 - 12:00

Evenemanget hålls på engelska.

Sustainable materials will play a key part for further exploitation of the oceans. Materials used in marine environments are subject to chemical, physical, and biological deterioration. These factors make materials selection, design, and protection critical to the effective and safe functioning of a structure, vessel, or component for its design life. Materials in/from the marine environment is a cross-functional competence area that promotes collaboration through the geographical uniqueness.

During the inauguration you will be guided around the test site and its possibilities for validation of materials in the marine environment. You get to listen to some of our marine scientist and representatives from companies telling about their research projects, challenges and future needs. We would also like to highlight the importance of European collaboration where you get to listen to some of our collaboration partners across Europe.
