The Center for Bionics and Pain Research (CBPR), a multidisciplinary engineering and medical collaboration between Chalmers University of Technology, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, and Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg, is organizing the first International Conference on Phantom Limb Pain, ICPLP (icplp2021.com) August 31-September 2, 2021 in Gothenburg, Sweden. ICPLP is dedicated to understanding more about phantom limb pain.
Due to the complexity and individuality of the condition, there is no single definition of phantom limb pain. Therefore, we opened up a call in 2020 to “Illustrate Phantom Limb Pain” and provide an opportunity for anyone worldwide to show how they understand, describe, and/or feel phantom limb pain. We received 21 contributions and now we need your input on which illustrations you think best illustrate phantom limb pain! Vote for your 5 favourite artworks in the poll below. The prize winner will receive 5000 SEK plus free entrance to ICPLP2021. Voting is open until April 30th!
