The high degree of human impact in Fennoscandian forest and the decrease of many structures important for biodiversity have raised the urgent need for ecological restoration. In this seminar I will present results from several large scale restoration projects in boreal Sweden, focusing on saproxylic beetles but also with examples from other organism groups.
