disability, et cetera, we need to abandon classical understandings of the firm as an employer and a workplace. Drawing on her recent work on the platform economy, posted work within the EU, and an Amazon warehouse in Poland, Patrizia shows how contemporary capitalism ‘subsumes’, or integrates, diverse labor in ways that extract maximal value for capital accumulation.

Attached are two of Patrizia’s recent publications (a book chapter and an article) that will be some of the grounds for this presentation.
