GU card and the coronavirus (Covid-19)

If you have an old GU card still working and do not need a new card at the moment, we advise that you do not pick up a new GU card.

In November 2019, a new GU card system was put in place, which means everyone with the older type of GU card need to update it to a new one.

Due to the coronavirus (Covid-19), the closure of the old GU card system has been brought forward. This means that all old, blue GU card with a valid date of 2019/48 or later will continue to work during 2020 as long as you as a student have an active course registration in Ladok.

Picking up already ordererd GU cards

Due to the risk of infection, we do not advise that you pick up the new GU card if you already have a functioning one or if you do not need it at the moment. Your new GU card will be stored at Servicecenter and there is no deadline to pick it up.

Limited opening hours

Servicecenter currently has limited opening hours. Only Servicecenter Vasa is open Monday-Fridag 8am-12pm.

If you urgently need your new GU card, you are welcome to pick it up at Servicecenter Vasa regardless of which pick up place you chose when ordering the card. Please remember to bring a valid ID.
