A new species, Inocybe granulosa, belonging to the genus Inocybe subgenus Mallocybe, has been described. It grows in man-made habitats as roadsides etc, in the boreal and subalpine regions of central Scandinavia and is likely to form mycorrhiza with Salix phylicifolia. In macro-morphology the species reminds of I. squarrosoannulata and I. malenconi, but analysis of ITS sequence data support it as a distinct species.
