This chapter considers stakeholder engagement and partnerships for improved urban logistics. It builds on on-going research from the University of Gothenburg that has addressed questions of the various approaches to engaging stakeholders and the important question of what works and what does not work. The chapter discusses stakeholder engagement techniques, the role and development of freight partnerships and stakeholder engagement through business improvement districts. Other engagement initiatives that can be considered are also reviewed.
