Abstract

This chapter identifies a number of distinct hate crime concepts that occur in the academic literature as well as in the legal and policy oriented domain concerning hate crime. It also lists a number of moral foundations for treating these crimes is a particular way. Finally, it demonstrates how the conceptual and moral considerations interrelate.
