In this paper, we present the DEVICE project, aiming to investigate methods and established practices for how to design for vulnerable generations, children and elderly, and especially how to teach interaction designers how to design for this user group. The project intends to modernize and develop educational design programs with a specific focus on vulnerable generations. In this paper we summarize initial findings, present some relevant examples and future aims.
