The article is part of a publication reviewing research over Swedish relations to Nazi Germany. It shows that there was quite a large amount of research made on the economic relations between Sweden and Nazi Germany. These relations had often a very long history and there was a continuity in the economic relations. Sweden was largely dependent on trade witj Germany before the war and this dependency increased enormously after April 1940. There was no intent from the Swedish government to break up these relations, since they were regarded as crucial for Swedish national independence as well as for the possibilities to support the Swedish people
