About Mari Lundberg

I am a physiotherapist and professor in physiotherapy, and I run the Back in Motion Research Group. My research is about pain in general, and fear of movement in particular. I use various forms of research methodology and designs, such as qualitative research methodology, randomized controlled trial, and regression models.

I received my degree in physical therapy in 1992 and have worked clinically within different areas (e.g. orthopaedics, primary health care and sports medicine). I hold a bachelor degree within psychology, and a PhD in orthopaedics. I have in-depth competencies within behavioral medicine and statistics.

In 2012, I became a associate professor and I teach and supervise at all levels in the educational system (first, second and third cycle). I have been engaged in teaching since 2007 at University of Gothenburg, Karolinska Institutet and The Swedish Institute of Health Sciences.

I am the main supervisor for four PhD students and the co-supervisor for five PhD students.
