About Malin Östensson

Current position at GU

I'm a statistician at the Bioinformatics and Data Centre at the Sahlgrenska Academy, where we provide:

  • High throughput techniques for biomedical, clinical and pre-clinical research.
  • Wide range of statistical and bioinformatics support and training.
  • Cluster hardware and software infrastructure development

Education and Previous Experience

During my education ( PostDoc with Tommy Martinsson's group and PhD with Staffan Nilsson's group) I have been working with Genome Wide Association Studies, microarray and exome Sequencing data analysis.

I have also been involved in teaching Statistics and Bioinformatics, both by lecturing in courses on Statistics and R programming, and supervising students.
