About Orlando Nigro
I am an acquisition librarian located at the Gothenburg Humanities Library where I work with databases. I also purchase books in the field of History of Ideas, Theory of Knowledge, Culture Studies and books in Italian.
I am a member of the internationalization team at Gothenburg University Library and together with fellow librarians I work with the planning of the library's Erasmus Staff Week.
Last but not least I am the secretary for The Acta Universitatis Gothoburgensis’ board which publishes dissertations and other literature from Gothenburg University’s scholars. As representative of the library in the board I work with the administration of the publishing house, focusing on giving support to authors during the publication process, and also by managing the templates for the books' graphical layouts. As part of this work I hold yearly seminars on how to operate the Word template.
My background is in Languages and Literatures which I have studied at the Orientale University of Naples before I decided to continue my studies in the field of Library and Information Sciences at the University of Borås. I have also worked at the Gothenburg Education and Economics Library.
