It is said that every high-tech era is followed by a high-touch era and where the pendulum is right now is an interesting question. What I do know is that I have one foot in each camp.

I was educated in that high-touch era before the high-tech era that surrounded me later. For me, creation is strongly rooted in the haptic, the sensual, but also in the optical, and I carry that with me when I teach here at the art faculty. My traditional background and curiosity about new techniques and innovations means that I find myself in the middle between the manual and the digital doing. I am a representative of the old school but also the new school. Why choose when you can have both!
