About Sofie Fredriksson

Licensed audiologist, graduated in 2008 from the Audiology programme and received a one year master's degree in audiology in 2011 at the University of Gothenburg.

Since 2012 enrolled as a PhD student at the department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. The PhD project is carried out within the research group Sound Environment and Health. The project concerns effects on hearing and health from exposure to noise at work and focuses mainly on female-dominated workplaces in the schools and health care sector. Also has an interest for gender perspectives in Occupational medicine.

Twenty percent of the PhD position consists of lecturing and course administration at the Audiology programme at the department of Audiology, Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology. The main interest in the field of audiology is communication and audiological diagnostics with particular focus on speech audiometry, both related to linguistics and phonetics. Also carry the position as contact person for issues related to equal value.

Also contribute together with fellow PhD audiology students in Sweden in the research network PhD-Aud Network.
