Bengt-Ove Boström

Bengt-Ove Boström is a PhD in Political Science who served as Advisor to the Vice Chancellor on quality issues from 2000 until his retirement on 30 June 2015.

As of 1 July 2015, he is directing development of the University of Gothenburg quality system for education within the scope of the new national project.

He was previously involved in quality issues at the department and faculty level. On a number of occasions, he has served as a judge during Swedish National Agency For Higher Education audits of quality efforts at various institutions, as well as accreditation matters in other countries. He has been a member of the Association of Swedish Higher Education (SUHF) expert team for quality issues since 2009. He also has participated in drafting SUHF’s position concerning the national quality system for education. His work has focused on promoting the use of expertise from various departments of the university to improve shared quality efforts and responsibility.
