Sea and Society Webinar: How will digitalisation impact the way we create value?

Lecture

Digital initiatives have become commonplace, yet there are still wide-spread misconceptions about what impact they really have. This seminar will discuss what that impact actually is, and how it may be governed for achieving expediant digitalisation.

In Agenda 2030 action plans, digitalization is often mentioned as a tool to reach sustainable development. This seminar will open up for a discussion about the value of current or future digital initiatives related to goal 14 - Life below water.

Johan Magnusson is head of the division of Information Systems, co-director of the Swedish Center for Digital Innovation (www.scdi.se) and an active part in the public debate concerning the digitalisation of society. His research is primarily focused on issues related to governance, where he heads the Research Consortium for Digital Government (www.digitalforvaltning.se).
