This first cycle course studies some theoretical philosophical field or issue, as related to current philosophical research. The specific content is elective and chosen from a current offer of subject matters in consultation with the examiner, taking into account the individual student's prior knowledge.
The course is designed to place high demands on you in terms of academic maturity and ability to tackle scientific texts with an open and critical attitude as well as on your ability to convey your understanding of the chosen content independently. On the other hand, the course does not require any previous studies in theoretical philosophy, and can be seen as an opportunity for broadening and deepening previous university studies in other subjects.
The course is given at the Department of Philosophy, Linguistics and Theory of Science (FLoV). Link to pages about the department.
