Course
EN2110
Master’s level
7.5 credits (ECTS)

About

The first part of the course provides an introduction to formal theories
of grammar. Here we pay particular attention to the basic principles of
generative grammar and how these principles evolved and changed over
time. The second part of the course deals with different
functional-cognitive approaches to the study of grammar, primarily
construction grammar. In this part of the course there is special focus
on understanding the fundamental differences between the different
paradigms.
