About

The course is primarily aimed at those who have taken the courses Interpretation for Orchestral Instruments / Piano 1 and 2, and Performance and Interpretation in Music and Drama 1, and who wish to pursue further knowledge and skills in your main instrument. You must have at least 30 credits in artistic education within performing arts and / or music, or equivalent. Half of the course consists of your main subject, and in addition you take courses of your choice from the range of courses at the Academy for Music and Drama in consultation with the programme supervisor.

Prerequisites and selection

Requirements

For admission to the course, a pass is required in MVK360 Performance and Interpretation in Music and Drama 1.

Selection

The selection is based on the submitted material in form of digital recording containing 3 music pieces (video recordings) of your own choice taken from different music epochs. The material must be sent no later than the last application date. Ranking is done after the assessed level of instrument-, artistic- and musical skills. The submitted material should be of the quality that you consider giving your material justice.

For the purpose of handling and reviewing work samples, we use an external service provided by SlideRoom Technologies Inc. By using the service, you agree that the University of Gothenburg may handle your personal data and material submitted via SlideRoom in order to evaluate your application for education. The material you upload remains with SlideRoom until you choose to remove it from their servers.

Here you can register to SlideRoom and upload your work samples.

NOTE! Only work samples submitted to this web system are accepted. Be sure to timely submit the material to avoid technical problems. That responsibility lies entirely on you as an applicant. You must also apply for the course at www.universityadmissions.se
