Object-Oriented Programming
About
Programming (or development or coding) is the act of solving computing problems using a programming language. It involves the design, realisation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of program code, in a programming language, on top of some programming platform, by the help of a development environment.
The course introduces a contemporary object oriented programming language with associated platforms and environments, with emphasis on basic programming language concepts, object oriented concepts, and elementary data structures. It also introduces the notion of code quality, and contemporary methods for obtaining high code quality. In addition, the course introduces more advanced programming topics such as recursionand exception handling.
Prerequisites and selection
Requirements
General entrance requirements for university studies and the Swedish upper secondary courses English B, Matematics C or English 6, Mathematics 3b/3c or equivalent.
Selection
Selection is based upon average grade from upper secondary school (34 %), the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits (33 %) and Högskoleprovet - Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test (33 %).
