About
In this course, Master’s degree project in Molecular Biology, you will do a master's thesis in molecular biology. Under supervision, you will perform an independent project work corresponding to one semester of full-time study. The work can either be experimental or constitute a critical literature review based on original works. Usually, you do the individual work within one of the ongoing research projects in the field of molecular biology. The course is completed when you have written a scientific report and presented your work orally in a seminar at the end of the course. The work aims to give you in-depth practical and theoretical knowledge and to give you the opportunity to get in touch with the latest research.
You have to look for supervisors and projects yourself, either at the Department of Chemistry and Molecular Biology, at another department within the same subject area or externally in companies or authorities. In order for you to be registered on the course, the project must be approved by the examiner. The project can be extended to 45 or 60 credits after agreement.
