Interculturality, language and politics in the Spanish-speaking world
Course
SP2204
Master’s level
7,5 credits (ECTS)
About
The course deals with interculturality, language and politics in different societal contexts in the Spanish-speaking world. As a result of the Spanish language's long contact with other languages and cultures in both Spain and North and South America, the encounter between different cultures and languages has become the subject of political, social and discursive negotiation and regulation. We discuss how interculturality as a concept and social process has affected and been treated in a number of relevant policy areas.
