The course's system is to provide in-depth knowledge of geographical information systems (GIS), to provide in-depth training in the practical management of geographical information systems, and to provide in-depth knowledge of principles for information on and applications with GIS. The course is given full time and the focus is on urban environments. A major part of the course is devoted to practical, foremost geoscientific exercises with GIS programs. The teaching contacts lectures, group teaching, laboratory work, project work and study visits. This course is mandatory master's students in Geography. Elective and exchange students welcome to apply, placement dependent upon availability.
