French: Introductory Level

In this course, you develop your oral and written language proficiency in French. The course also covers different aspects of culture and society in French-speaking countries. You are provided with theoretical tools to study and analyse the structure of the French language, French literature and other media. The content of all modules is highlighted by means of current research.

Prerequisites and selection


General entry requirements and French level 3 or French 3 (field-specific entry requirements 2/A2). Alternatively, completed course French: Introductory course I, 30 hecs (FR1100), Preparatory course II, 15 hecs (FR1601), French, beginners course 2, 15 hecs (FR1032) or the equivalent.
