About

The course gives knowledge of common study designs in clinical trials.

It includes: the clinical trial protocol, sources of bias in clinical trials, blinding, randomization, sample size calculation; design and analysis of phase I, phase II, phase III and hybrid trials; interim analysis, non-inferiority studies; stochastic curtailment, Bayes designs, and administrative issues in study design.

Calculus-based probability and mathematical statistics will be used throughout.

Requirements

Minimum requirement is MSG500 Statistical linear models.

Selection

All eligible applicants who have applied before the deadline will be granted a place.

Mathematical
Sciences is a joint department of Chalmers/University of Gothenburg. Your
education takes place in the spacious and bright premises of Mathematical
Sciences at the Chalmers campus Johanneberg, where there are lecture halls,
computer rooms and group rooms. Here you can also find student lunch room and
