Chemistry, Project
About
The course Chemistry, Project (30 credits) consists of an independent experimental or theoretical work within the field of chemistry that interests you.
It is your responsibility as a student to find and contact a supervisor prior to the independent work. If necessary, the student counsellor can help you. The supervisor may be one of the department's teachers or, with the approval of the department, an external supervisor.
The supervisor will give an introduction to and overview of the area of chemistry that relates to your independent work. You will have to study and familiarize yourself with the literature that forms the background to your project. With the help of appropriate experiments or calculations, you will solve the project task that you and your supervisor have agreed upon. At the end of the course, you are expected to account for your independently completed work and scientific analysis in the form of a written report and an oral presentation at a seminar.
The choice of assignment you are going to work with and time for the start of the course will be decided in consultation with your supervisor.

- 15 credits (KET916)
- 30 credits (KET930).
The course is taught in English.
