Artistic Methods in Organisational Contexts

Master’s level
15 credits (ECTS)

This course is for those who want to explore and practically experiment with artistic methods within organizations of all kinds. At an advanced level, it aspires to be an experimental ground for professional development. It is encouraged for students to take the explorations of this course into organizations of their current employments, memberships and/or citizenships or even, the next organization in need of receiving a proposal.

The aim of the course is to explore how artistic methods can contribute to processes of organizational change and innovation in various contexts in both the private and public sectors. The student is introduced to theoretical perspectives in strategic design, social innovation and organizational change. The course also includes practical artistic interventions as a method for developing social and organizational contexts to explore how they are used in corporate and social institutions. The course contains project work where the methods are practically applied, both individually and in groups.

Students are expected to conduct a majority of their research individually while we meet together by distance via zoom.
