The University of Gothenburg is following the Swedish Government's and Public Health Authority's recommendations regarding measures to reduce the spread of infections. For students, this mean that a large part of the studies is conducted digitally. As a general rule, international students will be offered a mix of on campus and digital studies.

How education will be conducted in autumn 2021

Vice-chancellor Eva Wiberg has decided on a shared plan for a gradual return to campus. Provided that the government's opening plan still stands, the ambition is for the University to be predominately campus-based again by October 2021 at the latest.

This means, as a student at the Faculty of Science you need to be on campus in Gothenburg for parts of a course that requires physical presence.

All education will be conducted taking into consideration the authorities’ advice for social distancing.
