Short description

The purpose of the project is to investigate the conditions for trade union cooperation within the EU. This also includes studying how the unions relate to the EU's rules and institutions, including social dialogue, as well as the employers 'organizations' positions and actions. When the national framework is exceeded, they are faced with the task of creating new strategies, forms of cooperation and communities outside the borders of the nation state. A key question is whether there is enough common ground among European trade unions in terms of ideological principles, overarching objectives and attitudes to different types of regulation, negotiating methods and combat measures in order for existing cooperation to develop. This issue is related to the fact that different labor market regimes can be distinguished in Europe.
