Our aim is to conduct research that contributes to psychological theory as well as being applicable to the legal system.

About us

Criminal, Legal and Investigative Psychology (CLIP) is a research group within the area of forensic psychology. CLIP was established in 2000 and is situated at the Department of Psychology.

Our aim is to conduct research that contributes to psychological theory as well as being applicable to the legal system.

To reach out, members of the research group are continuously involved with further education and training for police investigators, prosecutors, judges, and other groups of professionals. We also engage in the public debate and participate in public events. 

The group also initiated and teach courses in forensic psychology at all levels at the University of Gothenburg.

Courses

At the Department of Psychology there are several courses in legal and investigative psychology (at all levels), initiated and run by members of CLIP.
