VINNOVA funds for collaborating with the public sector

Published

The External Relations unit at the School of Business, Economics and Law has been awarded project funding by VINNOVA to develop a model for collaborating with the public sector.

The aim is to identify shape and structure for long-term collaboration with public-sector organisations in research and education that will benefit both parties.
The project will start off with the mapping of the needs of both the School and the public sector and what they expect from this collaboration. The outcome of this dialogue will determine the way to develop a strategy and concrete model for the shape and content and principles of future funding of this collaboration. The project will be completed with the implementation of the model and an evaluation of the activities carried out.

- Many of the School's students will in future work in public organizations and we have a lot of research on or in connection with the public sector, so we are very excited for the opportunity to develop our cooperation, says Ingela Palmgren, Head of External Relations

The project is one of three sub-projects included in the University of Gothenburg's VINNOVA application, Achieving Collaborative Excellence (ACE), and has been awarded SEK 1.4 million for a period of two years.
