The University of Gothenburg climbs 62 positions in the latest Times Higher Education ranking list, from position 242 to position 180.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings is considered to be one of the most prestigious ranking lists in the world. This year the University of Gothenburg climbs 62 positions, from position 242 to position 180. But his giant leap doesn’t have to be the effect of improvements alone.

- Their method has undergone substantial modifications. We don’t know exactly how the changes will affect the ranking, but apparently it favours the University of Gothenburg, says analyst Magnus Gunnarsson, at the Research and Innovation Office.

The THE uses 13 performance indicators, grouped into five areas: Industry income, Research, International mix, Teaching and Citations.
