Sören Holmberg in new Oxford Handbook

Published

Swedish National Elections Studies' Sören Holmberg has authored a chapter in the recently published Oxford Handbook of Political Representation in Liberal Democracies.

In the chapter Feeling Represented, Holmberg compare citizens feeling of being politically represented in different types of political systems. He finds, among other things, that citizens in older and more mature democracies feel represented to a larger extent than people in new and emerging democracies. The results are based on data from The Comparative Study of Electoral System’s (CSES) project covering forty-six countries and eighty-six elections between 2001 and 2011.
