About us

The Gothenburg Research Group on Elections, Public Opinion and Political Behavior (GEPOP) is an umbrella organisation for PhD candidates and researchers at the University of Gothenburg. GEPOP spawns from a previous group: the Multidisciplinary Research Group on Opinion and Democracy (MOD) that was formed in 2010 as part of the university's strategic research agenda to support strong research environments at the University of Gothenburg. Many of the current activities of GEPOP are spinoffs from MOD. GEPOP organizes morning meetings, seminar series, internal conferences and workshops. GEPOP operations and activities depend on the sharing of time and resources from collaborating researchers and staff. Professors Mikael Persson and Henrik Ekengren Oscarsson are main responsible for GEPOP.
