The Management of the Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts

The Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts is lead by Dean Sanne Kofod Olsen and Pro-Dean Henric Benesch.

Sanne Kofod Olsen

Has worked with contemporary art since the mid 90's, from an educational, curatorial and museumological perspective.

Sanne Kofod Olsen has previously been Vice-Chancellor at Det fynske Kunstakademi, Director at Museet for Samtidskunst and Vice-Chancellor at Det kgl. Danske Kunstakademis Billedkunstskoler.

She has a fil.kand (1996) and Mag.art. (2001) in Art History, from the University of Copenhagen.

Henric Benesch, Pro-Dean

Lecturer and researcher in design at HDK, Academy of Design and Crafts, with focus on critical and institutional perspectives on participation and knowledge.

Henric Benesch is trained as an architect at Chalmers University of Technology, where he has also been a project developer at the Center for Healthcare Architecture. He has also had various assignments linked to urban development processes and various forms of dialogue.

He has a PhD in design, from the University of Gothenburg (2010).

Tarja Karlsson Häikiö, Assistant Dean Education

Professor of Visual and Material Culture, active as a teacher's educator at HDK-Valand. Her research includes among other topics visual arts, children's and youth culture and higher artistic education.

Tarja Karlsson Häikiö has also held several assignments for the Swedish National Agency for Education. 

Tarja Karlsson Häikiö holds a Ph. D. in Art and and Architecture, and a Master in pedagogy from the University of Gothenburg.

 

Ulf Dalnäs, Assistant Dean for Collaboration

Has a background as an associate professor at the Gothenburg Academy of Music and as a freelance musician but has since the early 00s worked for the entire artistic college area both nationally and internationally.

Ulf Dalnäs has previously been Vice President of the European League of Institutes of the Arts (ELIA), National Bologna Expert on behalf of the EU and SUHF, and for the past five years as Head of HDK - the Academy of Design and Crafts.

He is a trained classical guitarist and teacher (1992) and has a degree in music pedagogy (2004), both from the Gothenburg Academy of Music.
